There are many instances in professional wrestling when sons follow their fathers into the ring and sometimes, it is a family affair that spans several generations. Some famous father-son wrestlers are Chavo Guerrero, Sr and Chavo Guerrero, Jr, Dustin and Dusty Rhodes, Shane and Vince McMahon, and Bob and Randy Orton.

Even famous wrestler's daughters also get into the ring such as Simone Johnson, the daughter of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Charlotte, the daughter of Hall of Famer Ric Flair and Elektra Lopez, the daughter of former WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) Superstar Steve King.

Get ready to rumble, introducing the local and international wrestler Giovanni "Gio Mondo" Sadd nagim.

As part of his wrestling-themed birthday celebrations and his love for sports entertainment, before he turned 15 on September 9, his father Shawn "Trini Chatterz" Sadd nagim erected a small wrestling ring in the Aranguez Savannah, a wrestler's body throw from their home in San Juan, on Independence Day and they had a hilarious wrestling match which he then posted on Facebook.

Speaking to the Kids' Guardian Giovanni said smiling, "We had a little brawl on Independence Day. I do professional wrestling along with boxing and UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship)-styled mixed martial arts.

"I started training when I was around 11. I have a lot of role models including John Cena, Jeff Hardy and Brock Lesnar in professional wrestling, and Nate Diaz, and Khabib Nurmagomedov in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)."

He said his favourite wrestling move was the "frog splash" as it is one of his heroes Eddie Guerrero's signature finishing moves.

One of the most treasured memories of the wrestling-mad Giovanni was when he attended the WWE Summerslam Live Heatwave Tour at Madison Square Garden, New York, USA, on July 7, 2018, with his family.

He was screaming so loud that American professional wrestler Roman Reigns pointed at him and gave him his signature "hang loose" hand gesture during his ring entrance.

Giovanni also has a huge collection of wrestling memorabilia such as action figures, toys, posters, cards, T-shirts and other items he has been collecting since he was three years old.

He shared that he spends some of his free time from training watching multiple wrestling news channels and broadcasts to learn more about the sport he loves.

Besides combat sports, Giovanni loves acting, basketball, composing songs and watching horror movies.

He aspires to be a wrestler in the WWE while running his own businesses/brand and he would also like to do some work in the law and real estate fields when he grows up.

The Form Four St George's College student's favourite subject is History, one of his favourite television series is The Haunting of Hill House, his favourite movie is Insidious, his favourite genre of music is rap, steak is his favourite food and one of his favourite desserts is cake.

Esha Sadd nagim, Giovanni's mother, said that since he was three years old, he always loved wrestling, from watching matches on WWE, to having his theme parties based on wrestling, collecting action figures and memorabilia.

She added that as parents, Shawn and her always supported Giovanni in his choices because he had always been a determined and intelligent child and they knew someday he will become a wrestler.

Sadd nagim said his dad will wrestle with him and will often joke about how sore his body will be after a match with Giovanni.

She explained that Giovanni's dad is the kind of man who will often go all out to see his children happy.

He recently constructed a wrestling ring. They also took him to the Aranguez Savannah to make a special video for his 15th birthday and it was awesome.

Shawn said that they cherished every moment as they watched Giovanni follow his dreams and make them proud parents.

Balancing their son's schoolwork and play was a bit challenging, he disclosed.

Shawn said, however, they tried their best to make time for these hobbies and sports he was into.

They encouraged Giovanni to stay focused and let academics be the top priority right now if he had to meet his goals in the future.
