For the week, some 1,746,516 shares traded on the First Tier Market, a decrease of 67.72 per cent on the previous week’s total of 5,410,930 shares crossing the floor.
The value of the shares traded was down 64.27 per cent to $9,567,066.78 from the previous week’s value of $26,776,652.25.
GraceKennedy (GKC) was the volume leader this week with 27.57 per cent of the market activity or 481,573 shares traded, followed by CIBC Caribbean Bank (CIBC) with 15.53 per cent of the market activity or 271,181 shares traded. In third place was JMMB Group Ltd (JMMBGL) with 14.66 per cent or 256,003 shares traded. These shares accounted for 57.76 per cent of the shares traded for the week.
The Indices ended the week in mixed territory:
• The Composite Index decreased by 0.16 per cent or 1.69 points to close at 1,042.22;
• The All Trinidad and Tobago Index ended at 1,527.38, up 0.03 per cent or 0.44 points;
• The Cross Listed Index closed at 73.21, down 0.76 per cent or 0.56 points; and
• The Small and Medium Enterprise Index closed at 91.85, unchanged from last week.
For the week, there were 13 shares advancing and five shares declining, while two shares were at its 52-week high, and three shares were at their 52-week low.
The major advance for the week was Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation (PLD) up 5.47 per cent or $0.22 to close at $4.24. In second place was National Flour Mills (NFM) with an increase of 3.66 per cent or $0.06 to close at $1.70. In third place was Unilever Caribbean Ltd (UCL) up 3.22 per cent or $0.41 to close at $13.15, its 52-week high.
NCB Financial Group (NCBFG) was the major decline for the week down 7.76 per cent or $0.17 to close at $2.02. ANSA Merchant Bank Ltd (AMBL) followed with a decrease of 3.68 per cent or $1.51 to close at $39.49, its 52-week low. In third place was Ansa McAL (AMCL) down 2.17 per cent or $1.00 to close at $45.00, its 52-week low.
There was no activity on the Second Tier Market.
On the TTD Mutual Fund Market, 12,837 Calypso Macro Index Fund (CALYP) units traded for the week with a value of $320,316.85. CALYP’s unit price closed at $24.95 down 6.13 per cent or $1.44.
On the Small and Medium Enterprise Market, no CinemaOne (CINE1), Eric Solis Marketing (SOLIS) and Endeavour Holdings Ltd (EHL) shares traded for the week. SOLIS’s share price closed at $4, CINE1’s share price closed at $5.50 and EHL share price closed at $18.00 all unchanged from the previous week.
On the USD Equity Market, no MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Ltd (MPCCEL) shares traded for the week.
MPCCEL shares closed the week at US$0.98, unchanged from last week.
