NCBFG declines 7.76%

For the week, some 1,746,516 shares trad­ed on the First Tier Mar­ket, a de­crease of 67.72 per cent on the pre­vi­ous week’s to­tal of 5,410,930 shares cross­ing the floor.

The val­ue of the shares trad­ed was down 64.27 per cent to $9,567,066.78 from the pre­vi­ous week’s val­ue of $26,776,652.25.

GraceKennedy (GKC) was the vol­ume leader this week with 27.57 per cent of the mar­ket ac­tiv­i­ty or 481,573 shares trad­ed, fol­lowed by CIBC Caribbean Bank (CIBC) with 15.53 per cent of the mar­ket ac­tiv­i­ty or 271,181 shares trad­ed. In third place was JMMB Group Ltd (JMM­BGL) with 14.66 per cent or 256,003 shares trad­ed. These shares ac­count­ed for 57.76 per cent of the shares trad­ed for the week.

The In­dices end­ed the week in mixed ter­ri­to­ry:

• The Com­pos­ite In­dex de­creased by 0.16 per cent or 1.69 points to close at 1,042.22;

• The All Trinidad and To­ba­go In­dex end­ed at 1,527.38, up 0.03 per cent or 0.44 points;

• The Cross List­ed In­dex closed at 73.21, down 0.76 per cent or 0.56 points; and

• The Small and Medi­um En­ter­prise In­dex closed at 91.85, un­changed from last week.

For the week, there were 13 shares ad­vanc­ing and five shares de­clin­ing, while two shares were at its 52-week high, and three shares were at their 52-week low.

The ma­jor ad­vance for the week was Point Lisas In­dus­tri­al Port De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion (PLD) up 5.47 per cent or $0.22 to close at $4.24. In sec­ond place was Na­tion­al Flour Mills (NFM) with an in­crease of 3.66 per cent or $0.06 to close at $1.70. In third place was Unilever Caribbean Ltd (UCL) up 3.22 per cent or $0.41 to close at $13.15, its 52-week high.

NCB Fi­nan­cial Group (NCBFG) was the ma­jor de­cline for the week down 7.76 per cent or $0.17 to close at $2.02. ANSA Mer­chant Bank Ltd (AM­BL) fol­lowed with a de­crease of 3.68 per cent or $1.51 to close at $39.49, its 52-week low. In third place was Ansa McAL (AM­CL) down 2.17 per cent or $1.00 to close at $45.00, its 52-week low.

There was no ac­tiv­i­ty on the Sec­ond Tier Mar­ket.

On the TTD Mu­tu­al Fund Mar­ket, 12,837 Ca­lyp­so Macro In­dex Fund (CA­LYP) units trad­ed for the week with a val­ue of $320,316.85. CA­LYP’s unit price closed at $24.95 down 6.13 per cent or $1.44.

On the Small and Medi­um En­ter­prise Mar­ket, no Cin­e­maOne (CINE1), Er­ic So­lis Mar­ket­ing (SO­LIS) and En­deav­our Hold­ings Ltd (EHL) shares trad­ed for the week. SO­LIS’s share price closed at $4, CINE1’s share price closed at $5.50 and EHL share price closed at $18.00 all un­changed from the pre­vi­ous week.

On the USD Eq­ui­ty Mar­ket, no MPC Caribbean Clean En­er­gy Ltd (MPC­CEL) shares trad­ed for the week.

MPC­CEL shares closed the week at US$0.98, un­changed from last week.
