Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG) has announced the appointment of Winston Williams as chief executive officer for the Caribbean, effective November 1, 2025.
Williams succeeds Youil Homsi, who has successfully led PALIG’s Caribbean operations over the past year, significantly strengthening business performance, customer retention and operational alignment across the region, a release from the company said yesterday.
PALIG-a provider of life, accident and health insurance throughout the Americas-also expressed its deep appreciation for Homsi’s leadership and contributions to the continued growth of PALIG’s Caribbean business.
PALIG noted that with more than four decades of experience in life and health insurance, Williams brings a proven record of business development, sales growth, and agency leadership across T&T and the wider Caribbean.
As agency manager of PALIG’s Port-of-Spain and San Fernando offices, he delivered 12 consecutive years of growth and built strong relationships with producers and customers.
His prior leadership experience included roles at Sagicor Life Inc, Colonial Life Insurance Company Ltd, and Caribbean Atlantic Life Insurance Company Ltd.
Chairman of the board and CEO of PALIG José Suquet noted Williams’ leadership, deep understanding of the Caribbean markets, and strong relationships with producers and clients which make him the ideal choice to lead the company’s next stage of growth in the region,

Meanwhile, Dan Costello, executive vice president – international markets added that the appointment marks the next stage in the company’s drive to significantly expand its business in the Caribbean.
“His extensive industry experience and proven results-driven approach will further strengthen our operations and support the long-term growth of our business across the region,” he said.
Following regulatory approvals in Trinidad, Williams would also assume the role of chief executive officer of Pan-American Life Insurance Company of T&T Ltd, while maintaining overall responsibility for PALIG’s Caribbean operations.
