Pan-Amer­i­can Life In­sur­ance Group (PALIG) has an­nounced the ap­point­ment of Win­ston Williams as chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer for the Caribbean, ef­fec­tive No­vem­ber 1, 2025.

Williams suc­ceeds Youil Hom­si, who has suc­cess­ful­ly led PALIG’s Caribbean op­er­a­tions over the past year, sig­nif­i­cant­ly strength­en­ing busi­ness per­for­mance, cus­tomer re­ten­tion and op­er­a­tional align­ment across the re­gion, a re­lease from the com­pa­ny said yes­ter­day.

PALIG-a provider of life, ac­ci­dent and health in­sur­ance through­out the Amer­i­c­as-al­so ex­pressed its deep ap­pre­ci­a­tion for Hom­si’s lead­er­ship and con­tri­bu­tions to the con­tin­ued growth of PALIG’s Caribbean busi­ness.

PALIG not­ed that with more than four decades of ex­pe­ri­ence in life and health in­sur­ance, Williams brings a proven record of busi­ness de­vel­op­ment, sales growth, and agency lead­er­ship across T&T and the wider Caribbean.

As agency man­ag­er of PALIG’s Port-of-Spain and San Fer­nan­do of­fices, he de­liv­ered 12 con­sec­u­tive years of growth and built strong re­la­tion­ships with pro­duc­ers and cus­tomers.

His pri­or lead­er­ship ex­pe­ri­ence in­clud­ed roles at Sagi­cor Life Inc, Colo­nial Life In­sur­ance Com­pa­ny Ltd, and Caribbean At­lantic Life In­sur­ance Com­pa­ny Ltd.

Chair­man of the board and CEO of PALIG José Su­quet not­ed Williams’ lead­er­ship, deep un­der­stand­ing of the Caribbean mar­kets, and strong re­la­tion­ships with pro­duc­ers and clients which make him the ide­al choice to lead the com­pa­ny’s next stage of growth in the re­gion,

“His track record of per­for­mance and com­mit­ment to ser­vice ex­cel­lence are ful­ly aligned with PALIG’s mis­sion to be there when our cus­tomers need us mos,” he added.

Mean­while, Dan Costel­lo, ex­ec­u­tive vice pres­i­dent – in­ter­na­tion­al mar­kets added that the ap­point­ment marks the next stage in the com­pa­ny’s dri­ve to sig­nif­i­cant­ly ex­pand its busi­ness in the Caribbean.

“His ex­ten­sive in­dus­try ex­pe­ri­ence and proven re­sults-dri­ven ap­proach will fur­ther strength­en our op­er­a­tions and sup­port the long-term growth of our busi­ness across the re­gion,” he said.

Fol­low­ing reg­u­la­to­ry ap­provals in Trinidad, Williams would al­so as­sume the role of chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer of Pan-Amer­i­can Life In­sur­ance Com­pa­ny of T&T Ltd, while main­tain­ing over­all re­spon­si­bil­i­ty for PALIG’s Caribbean op­er­a­tions.

“As we nav­i­gate an evolv­ing in­sur­ance land­scape, my fo­cus is on cul­ture, col­lab­o­ra­tion, and per­for­mance. I look for­ward to part­ner­ing with our em­ploy­ees, bro­kers, and com­mu­ni­ties to build a re­silient, cus­tomer- cen­tric Pan-Amer­i­can Life that adapts, grows, and sets new bench­marks in ser­vice ex­cel­lence,” Williams said.

He added he was ho­n­oured to lead Pan-Amer­i­can Life as the com­pa­ny reaf­firms its com­mit­ment to se­cur­ing the fi­nan­cial fu­tures of in­di­vid­u­als and com­mu­ni­ties across T&T and the Caribbean.

“To­geth­er we will dri­ve in­no­va­tion, strength­en risk pro­tec­tions, and de­liv­er trust­ed val­ue for our cus­tomers,” he added,

The re­lease said this lead­er­ship tran­si­tion un­der­scored PALIG’s con­tin­ued in­vest­ment in the re­gion and its un­wa­ver­ing com­mit­ment to de­liv­er­ing trust­ed pro­tec­tion and ex­cep­tion­al ser­vice to its in­sureds, pro­duc­ers, and com­mu­ni­ties through­out the Caribbean.
