Term Finance, through its brand Standard Credit, has partnered with soca artiste Mical Teja as the title sponsor for his event, Mas The Experience, signalling a deeper push into supporting Carnival and the wider creative economy.
The company said the collaboration is designed to extend beyond the Carnival season, with a focus on celebrating Carnival culture while strengthening the business framework that supports it. Central to the partnership is an emphasis on responsible financing and promoting financial wellness among creatives and entrepreneurs operating in the space.
Standard Credit highlighted Teja’s ability to blend musical traditions, fusing the storytelling elements of calypso with the energy of soca, as a key reason for the partnership. The company noted that this connection mirrors its own approach to engaging communities and supporting industries with strong cultural and economic impact.
The partnership will include year-round engagements aimed at bringing together stakeholders across the Carnival industry to discuss opportunities, support new entrants and encourage greater financial literacy.
As part of the arrangement, Teja will act as a brand ambassador for Standard Credit and will also produce the company’s official jingle.
Term Finance said it intends to build on the partnership through additional initiatives and activations that support the people and creativity that continue to drive Carnival, while reinforcing the importance of structured and responsible financing within the sector.
