Subway Trinidad and Tobago’s partnership with Copa Airlines has helped a soon-to-be-married couple secure their honeymoon.
Earlier this week, Subway T&T officially announced the grand prize winner of its sizzling Ghost Pepper Bread consumer promotion. Shaphan Girod won the campaign’s coveted grand prize: an all-inclusive tropical escape to Cancún, Mexico.
Subway revealed that the win came at “an extraordinary personal milestone for Girod, who revealed he will be using the luxury vacation package to celebrate his upcoming honeymoon.”
In a release, Subway explained it had joined forces with Copa Airlines to deliver the prize.
Girod purchased what turned out to be his winning meal at Subway, MovieTowne Port-of-Spain.
“We wanted to give our guests a bold flavour experience that dared them to turn up the heat, and combining that culinary excitement with an unforgettable travel adventure made this campaign truly special,” said Asha Sanmoogan, marketing manager, Subway TT.
“Partnering with Copa Airlines allowed us to take customer appreciation to the next level. Knowing that this prize will become the backdrop for Shaphan’s honeymoon makes this outcome all the more rewarding for our entire team,” she said in a news release.
Subway said, “Through Copa Airlines’ extensive network and Hub of the Americas in Panama, the grand prize package connects the lucky couple smoothly from Trinidad to the pristine beaches, vibrant culture, and world-class luxury of Cancún for an all-inclusive romantic celebration.”
Subway is part of publicly listed Prestige Holdings Ltd, which is being acquired by publicly listed Agostini Ltd.
