Tourism Trinidad partners with Business of Carnival

Tourism Trinidad Ltd (TTL) has part­nered with “The Busi­ness of Car­ni­val,” a first of a kind You Tube Se­ries by En­ter­tain­ment and Sports Lawyer Car­la Par­ris, to present the Stay­Home­an­dLEVELUP cam­paign.

In a state­ment TTL said the aim is to ed­u­cate peo­ple across the Caribbean and the globe about the le­gal and busi­ness as­pects of the Car­ni­val and cul­tur­al in­dus­try.

“This dig­i­tal cam­paign aims to el­e­vate busi­ness stan­dards with­in the en­ter­tain­ment in­dus­try and as­sist the cre­ative sec­tor to gen­er­ate long-term rev­enue,” TTL ex­plained.

Act­ing Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer of Tourism Trinidad, Hei­di Alert said COVID-19 has caused se­ri­ous and un­prece­dent­ed dis­rup­tion through­out the glob­al tourism sec­tor.

She al­so said this has re­sult­ed in a flood of can­cel­la­tions, post­pone­ments of fes­ti­vals and events af­fect­ing artists around the world and putting the glob­al US $2,000 bil­lion-dol­lar cre­ative in­dus­try at risk.

“We are, there­fore, very pleased to col­lab­o­rate on “The Busi­ness of Car­ni­val,” project as it is an ex­am­ple of in­no­v­a­tive think­ing that will de­liv­er re­al eco­nom­ic ben­e­fit to our lo­cal cul­tur­al and cre­ative sec­tor and find so­lu­tions be­yond the cur­rent cri­sis,” Alert added.

The Busi­ness of Car­ni­val is the brain­child of Car­la Par­ris and co-pro­duced by Lyn­merie Par­ris.

It is avail­able free of charge on You Tube, and is de­signed to ed­u­cate lo­cal and glob­al au­di­ences on the le­gal and busi­ness as­pects of the Car­ni­val and en­ter­tain­ment sec­tors with­in the Caribbean.

Now in its third sea­son, “The Busi­ness of Car­ni­val” fea­tures many of the re­gion’s high-pro­file celebri­ties and in­dus­try lead­ers, in the mu­sic, fash­ion, pho­tog­ra­phy and event in­dus­tries across three T&T, Bar­ba­dos and the US.

Car­la Par­ris host of the “The Busi­ness of Car­ni­val not­ed,” The Busi­ness of Car­ni­val will as­sist in rais­ing aware­ness of the des­ti­na­tion through­out the world whilst up­grad­ing the skill-set of our cre­ative sec­tor.”
