The Telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions Ser­vices of T&T (TSTT) yes­ter­day an­nounced there would be a change in the name of its re­cent ac­qui­si­tion, Massy Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Ltd.

In an ad­ver­tise­ment yes­ter­day, the com­pa­ny said the new name would be AM­PLIA Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Ltd as the old name can no longer be used.

TSTT ac­quired Massy Com­mu­ni­ca­tions in ear­ly May for $255 mil­lion.

The an­nounce­ment of the ac­qui­si­tion was made by then-chair­man Emile Elias at a news con­fer­ence.

Ac­cord­ing to the ad­ver­tise­ment, TSTT said start­ing De­cem­ber 1, AM­PLIA would mar­ket a "unique" set of prod­ucts and ser­vices un­der the bmo­bile brand in­clud­ing the re­cent­ly launched un­lim­it­ed voice bun­dles.

"Cus­tomers can rest as­sured that, along with these changes they will con­tin­ue to re­ceive the qual­i­ty ser­vice they are ac­cus­tomed to by the same team of ded­i­cat­ed pro­fes­sion­als that made this com­pa­ny what it is to­day." TSTT said

The com­pa­ny added, "we hope that you are as ex­cit­ed at the pos­si­bil­i­ties as we are. We look for­ward to con­tin­u­ing to trans­form your life and strength­en­ing com­mu­ni­ties in T&T."
