T&T’s visibility at the recently held Offshore Technology Conference 2026 has given its energy sector a needed boost as this country’s capabilities in energy services and support was placed in focus at the conference.
T&T’s Pavilion at the event, which was hosted by Ramps Logistics, featured local companies Offshore Contractors Limited, Tanks-A-Lot Inc, Dumore Enterprises Limited, Hookmally Ali Limited, and El Dorado Offshore.
Noting comments made by Guyana’s President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali on the opening day of the event with regard to the important of energy balance, Ramps stated in a news release that T&T’s visibility at the event “is positioning the country’s energy services sector at a moment when global offshore conversations are increasingly focussed on energy balance, regional collaboration and the Caribbean’s growing role in supporting the future of energy.”
Dale Lutchman, vice president, sales and marketing at Ramps Logistics, said, “OTC continues to reinforce its role as the central meeting point for decision-makers shaping the future of offshore energy across the Gulf of America, the Caribbean, and South America. The Caribbean basin, particularly Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and Suriname, is uniquely positioned to contribute, offering both resource potential and natural advantages for carbon management within an increasingly complex global energy landscape.”
The T&T contingent at the event engaged in discussions around offshore development, regional supply chains, logistics pathways, local support, technology, workforce capability, and new opportunities tied to Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and the wider Caribbean.
Ramps said the companies participating in the Pavilion used OTC 2026 to demonstrate how Trinidad and Tobago’s energy services sector can support offshore activity across the region, from fabrication and carbon capture utilisation (CCU) solutions to logistics, workforce development, contractor services, equipment support, and field execution.
The event ran from May 4 to May 7 in Houston, Texas.
