An accident involving a pedestrian who was knocked down on the corner of Sweet Briar and Maraval Roads in Newtown, Port-of-Spain, caused heavy traffic in the vicinity this morning. The accident occurred at around 10 am and the victim, a woman, was attended to by medical personnel on the scene before she was taken to hospital. Her identity and the extent of her injuries are not yet known.
