Thirteen-year-old Antonio Rampersad was crowned this year's Junior King of Carnival Carnival.
Rampersad, who has been competing since he was five years old and whose grandmother, father, and mother are veterans in the senior competition, topped nine competitors to earn his first crown.
His multi-coloured costume, which sought to pay tribute to the well-preserved Carnival traditions of the country's second city, was easily one of the largest in the competition.
Jayda Forde was crowned this year's Junior Queen of Carnival with her tribal-themed presentation "Princes Eleu, Protector Of The Island" which featured intricate-designed drums and masks.
In the schools' competition, Leonardo Felicien's leprechaun-inspired "Gold's Revenge" wowed the judges and earned him first place.
Azelia Mills' dainty but dazzling presentation "Princess Set In Diamonds", which featured layers of sequin-lined fabric which sparkled under the lights at the Queens Park Savannah, earned her top spot in the school's competition.
