16 medium steelbands move forward to Sunday’s semifinal

Six­teen medi­um bands will move for­ward to the Na­tion­al Panora­ma semi­fi­nal on Sun­day at Car­ni­val City, Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah, Port- of- Spain.

The ad­di­tion­al two semi­fi­nal­ists are the re­sult of a three way tie at po­si­tion 14 be­tween San­gre Grande Cordettes, Trinidad Val­ley Harps and San City Steel Sym­pho­ny with 259 points each.

In po­si­tion one with 270 points was Courts Sound Spe­cial­ists of Laven­tille with their ren­di­tion of Ah Feel­ing To Rock, arranged by Seion Gomez.

In at sec­ond place was the first of sev­er­al ties. Katzen­jam­mers and Curepe Scherzan­do who amassed 269 points.

At the end of the ex­er­cise, the break­down is as fol­lows – one band from the North, five from the East, sev­en from South/Cen­tral and three from To­ba­go Re­gions.
