Two firearms and am­mu­ni­tion were found and re­cov­ered by po­lice of­fi­cers in aban­doned lots of land in two sep­a­rate lo­ca­tions in North Trinidad on Mon­day night.

Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, be­tween 5 pm and 8 pm they re­ceived in­for­ma­tion and went to an aban­doned lot of land at Block Three, Waller­field, where they found a bag con­tain­ing a Smith and Wes­son re­volver.

In a sec­ond sub­se­quent ex­er­cise, again act­ing on in­for­ma­tion po­lice of­fi­cers went to a bushy area along Jokhan Trace, Cara­po, where they found and seized a Tau­rus pis­tol and mag­a­zine con­tain­ing five live rounds of am­mu­ni­tion in a bag.
