Two more people have been murdered in Arima.

The first victim was identified as 39-year-old Kerry Arcia of Pope Avenue and Trainline Road Malabar.

According to reports, around 7.30 am yesterday, residents heard several loud explosions and saw a white Nissan AD wagon driving north along Trainline Road. When they checked they found Arcia lying motionless at the side of his home.

Hours later, Clyde Rojas of Temple Street, Arima, was shot dead in the same area. Rojas was described by residents as “someone who did not bother anyone.”

In mid-April, six people were shot at Temple Street, Arima. Two of the victims were identified as Candace Griffith and Alana Layne died.

In July 2022, Arima topped the country for the most serious crimes, and then acting police commissioner Mc Donald Jacob promised to ramp up patrols.
