Twenty-two people were arrested during a series of warrant and anti-crime operations across multiple police divisions this week.
In Sangre Grande, six arrests were made yesterday between 7am and 11am as officers executed seven warrants.
In the Southern Division, 14 people were held between Wednesday morning and Thursday morning for offences including robbery with violence, malicious wounding, and possession of cocaine.
Two other men were charged with drug trafficking after separate searches in the Princes Town area. In one case, 11.2 grams of cocaine were seized along Naparima Mayaro Road. In the other, officers found 1.2 kilogrammes of high-grade cannabis at a house on Matilda Road.
Police said both men are expected to appear before the South Master’s Court on Monday 4 August.
The TTPS said the exercises formed part of ongoing efforts to execute outstanding warrants and disrupt drug networks during the State of Emergency.
