Three can­di­dates have with­drawn their nom­i­na­tions for posts in the up­com­ing in­ter­nal par­ty elec­tions for the Peo­ple’s Na­tion­al Move­ment (PNM).

An of­fi­cial state­ment from the PNM’s Elec­tions Su­per­vi­so­ry Com­mit­tee (ESC) con­firms that Min­is­ter in the Min­istry of Fi­nance, Bri­an Man­ning MP, has with­drawn his nom­i­na­tion for the post of PNM Vice Chair­man.

In ad­di­tion, Cur­tis Shade has pulled his nom­i­na­tion for the post of Field Of­fi­cer, while Ndale Young has changed his mind about run­ning for the Youth Of­fi­cer post.

Nom­i­na­tion Day was Mon­day 10th Oc­to­ber 2022.

The par­ty’s Elec­tions Su­per­vi­so­ry Com­mit­tee (ESC) re­ports that to date, there are 39 nom­i­nees—four of whom are run­ning un­op­posed, and 35 can­di­dates who will face the polls on the sched­uled dates, name­ly Sat­ur­day 26 and Sun­day 27 No­vem­ber, as well as on Con­ven­tion Day, Sun­day 4 De­cem­ber 2022.
