The parents of the seven St. Anthony's College boys allegedly responsible for assaulting one of their peers, have been called in to the school to collect their suspension letters.
Chief Executive Officer of the Catholic Education Board of Management, Sharon Mangroo, said they will be suspended for seven days in the first instance.
Meanwhile… Minister of Education, Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, told Guardian Media that the detailed incident report, student files and disciplinary records are expected today, and they will be used to examine the situation in its entirety before the relevant decisions are made.
Last Thursday, a student got into an altercation with seven others, and sustained injuries to his face, ribs, back, and chest, as well as suffering a broken nose.
Police have launched a joint investigation into the fight.
