The Ministry of Health has revealed that 14 additional people have succumbed to COVID-19, making it 71 fatalities recorded for the week to date.
The ministry also confirmed 140 new infections from samples collected between November 1st and 4th. This makes 1,460 cases to be confirmed for the week to date.
Deaths now stand at 1,753—the majority of which the Ministry of Health has previously said were not fully vaccinated (upwards of 95 per cent).
In its update for today, Friday 5th November 2021, the Ministry notes there are now 5,185 active cases of COVID-19 in the country, at this time.
In addition, the health ministry reports that 93.1% of people in the current parallel healthcare system are not fully vaccinated—some 4,809 from a total of 5,166—based on data from July 22nd to October 20th, 2021.

Currently, some 610,852 people in the country are fully vaccinated, having completed either a one-dose or two-dose regime.
And some 625,832 people have received their first doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, as of today, Friday, the Ministry’s update reports.
The Ministry reminds the public that a person is considered to be fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the final recommended vaccine dose(s) of a World Health Organisation (WHO) approved vaccine or vaccine combination.
The Health Ministry also notes in its update:
● 337 persons are still hospitalised for COVID-19; up from 310 patients on Thursday.
● 4,687 persons are in home self-isolation; up from 4,558 patients on Thursday.
● 80 persons are in State quarantine facilities; up from 78 patients on Thursday.
● 21 patients are still recovering in step-down facilities; down from 23 patients on Thursday.
