The Min­istry of Hous­ing and Ur­ban De­vel­op­ment will be hand­ing out keys to 91 peo­ple to­day, for new Starter Home Units un­der the Hous­ing & Vil­lage Im­prove­ment Pro­gramme (HVIP) of the Min­istry’s Land Set­tle­ment Agency.

At to­day’s HVIP Key Dis­tri­b­u­tion Cer­e­mo­ny, the 91 ben­e­fi­cia­ries will re­ceive keys to new Starter Home Units lo­cat­ed in San Fer­nan­do, Mor­vant, Ari­ma, Diego, Mar­tin, Point Fortin and Va­len­cia.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­lease from the Hous­ing Min­istry, “the HVIP project pro­vides for the con­struc­tion of Starter Homes, geared to­wards im­prov­ing the liv­ing con­di­tions of ben­e­fi­cia­ries re­sid­ing in sev­er­al vil­lages across Trinidad.”

“This project is man­aged by the Land Set­tle­ment Agency of the Min­istry, to pro­vide high-qual­i­ty hous­ing to ben­e­fi­cia­ries, and to pro­vide ac­cess to mod­ern ameni­ties,” the Min­istry ex­plained.

Min­is­ter Camille Robin­son-Reg­is MP is ex­pect­ed to de­liv­er the Fea­ture Ad­dress at the key dis­tri­b­u­tion cer­e­mo­ny sched­uled for 1:30 pm to­day, at Gov­ern­ment Cam­pus Plaza Au­di­to­ri­um Hall on Rich­mond Street in Port of Spain. 

Min­is­ter in the Min­istry of Hous­ing and Ur­ban De­vel­op­ment, Adri­an Leonce MP, al­so will at­tend the cer­e­mo­ny and de­liv­er re­marks.
