ANSA McAL has reached out to Wish­ing for Wings Foun­da­tion pres­i­dent Deb­bie Ja­cob and mem­bers of the Gold­en Grove Re­mand Prison De­bate team in an ef­fort to im­pact pos­i­tive­ly in the re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion process of the in­mates.

The con­glom­er­ate re­cent­ly de­liv­ered a cheque to Ja­cob for the spon­sor­ship of copies of Ja­cob’s book, ti­tled Mak­ing Waves: How the West In­dies Shaped the US, for par­tic­i­pants in the Trinidad and To­ba­go Pris­ons' In­ter-Sta­tion De­bates at the Youth Train­ing Cen­tre (YTC) on Sep­tem­ber 19.

Mem­bers of the Gold­en Grove Re­mand Prison De­bate team joined Ja­cob as she col­lect­ed a cheque from ANSA McAL’s Group Cor­po­rate Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Man­ag­er Sharon Bal­roop.

In a re­lease, ANSA McAL com­mend­ed Ja­cobs for her un­yield­ing com­mit­ment and self­less­ness in as­sist­ing in­mates with turn­ing their lives around through ed­u­ca­tion. Both Ja­cob and the Trinidad and To­ba­go Prison Ser­vice con­tin­ue to work to­wards a shift away from the ret­ribu­tive to the re­ha­bil­i­ta­tive with­in the pe­nal sys­tem.
