The ANSA McAL Group has introduced Artificial Intelligence across its Human Resources ecosystem, becoming the first large-scale enterprise based in the English-speaking Caribbean to do so.
The move is part of the Group’s HR Strategy, aimed at modernising infrastructure, attracting and retaining talent, and enhancing the employee experience. By embedding an AI-powered digital assistant, chatbot, and Generative AI within its Human Capital Management platform, ANSA McAL is positioning HR as a driver of growth and efficiency. The initiative supports the Group’s 2X Growth ambition to double its scale and impact by 2027.
The launch was achieved through ANSA McAL’s partnership with HRIZONS, an SAP SuccessFactors partner. President and CEO of HRIZONS Jim Newman said the collaboration reflects ANSA McAL’s commitment to its HR technology journey. He said the Group’s work in the Caribbean demonstrates its people-first agenda.
The introduction of AI allows employees to engage with the platform conversationally, asking natural-language questions and receiving instant responses. The system also delivers learning recommendations, career insights, and faster access to information, enabling employees to better manage their development and wellbeing.
Group Chief Shared Services Officer Faheem Mohammed said the step is more than a technology upgrade. He said it reimagines how HR supports people and performance by enabling faster responses to employees, anticipating workforce challenges, and unlocking insights that strengthen talent advantage.
He added that by pioneering this capability in the English-speaking Caribbean, ANSA McAL is not only keeping pace with global innovation but also setting the pace regionally.
The Group stated that the adoption of AI will provide greater agility, scalability, and competitiveness in a changing talent market. ANSA McAL expects the technology to reinforce its ability to respond to workforce needs while aligning with its long-term growth objectives.
