Appointments portals for AstraZeneca jabs open from today

The Min­istry of Health is re­mind­ing mem­bers of the pub­lic that start­ing to­day, Sun­day 8th Au­gust 2021, they can make ap­point­ments for the up­com­ing roll-out of first dos­es of the As­traZeneca COVID-19 vac­cine us­ing ei­ther the on­line or tele­phone hot­line ap­point­ment sys­tems.

The on­line ap­point­ment sys­tem can be ac­cessed from 7:00 am at www.ttvac­cine.com.

The vac­cine ap­point­ment tele­phone hot­line, 800-VACC (8222), is avail­able from Sun­day to Sun­day be­tween 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.

The Min­istry ad­vis­es that while walk-ins will be fa­cil­i­tat­ed, peo­ple with ap­point­ments will be giv­en pri­or­i­ty.

For ad­di­tion­al in­for­ma­tion on COVID-19 vac­cine de­ploy­ment, per­sons may vis­it the Min­istry of Health’s web­page, www.health.gov.tt, as well as its so­cial me­dia pages.

 

Re­open­ing of NL­CB op­er­a­tions

 

An of­fi­cial re­lease from the Health Min­istry con­firms the Health Min­is­ter’s state­ment on the re­sump­tions of op­er­a­tions of the Na­tion­al Lot­ter­ies Con­trol Board (NL­CB).

The op­er­a­tions of the Na­tion­al Lot­ter­ies Con­trol Board will be al­lowed on a tem­po­rary ba­sis.

Pur­suant to Reg­u­la­tion 3(10)(ao) of the Emer­gency Pow­ers (No. 2) Reg­u­la­tions, 2021, with ef­fect from Mon­day 9th Au­gust 2021, the Min­is­ter of Health here­by au­tho­ris­es the op­er­a­tions of the Na­tion­al Lot­ter­ies Con­trol Board in­clud­ing its ap­point­ed agents and their reg­is­tered ven­dors, ON­LY, UN­TIL FUR­THER NO­TICE, Mon­day through Sun­day.

Cus­tomers and op­er­a­tors of the above­men­tioned es­tab­lish­ments are ad­vised to com­ply strict­ly with the oth­er le­gal re­quire­ments of the Emer­gency Pow­ers (No. 2) Reg­u­la­tions, 2021, the pub­lic health guide­lines and le­gal re­quire­ments of the Pub­lic Health [2019 Nov­el Coro­n­avirus (2019-nCoV)] (No. 18) Reg­u­la­tions, 2021.

Au­tho­riza­tions grant­ed by the Min­is­ter of Health pur­suant to State­ments 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, re­main valid.

The Min­istry of Health will con­tin­ue to mon­i­tor this de­vel­op­ment and take steps to safe­guard the health of the pop­u­la­tion.
