A 37-year-old man was shot and killed fol­low­ing an ar­gu­ment be­tween his friend and an­oth­er man over vis­i­ta­tion of their 11-month-old child.

Po­lice said An­drew Morales, his girl­friend, and her child went to Mar­shall Trace, Cunu­pia, on Tues­day af­ter­noon, where her ex-boyfriend, the child’s bi­o­log­i­cal fa­ther, was ex­pect­ed to vis­it the in­fant.

Dur­ing the vis­it, an ar­gu­ment erupt­ed be­tween the woman and the child’s fa­ther, who pulled out a gun and shot Morales be­fore flee­ing on a bi­cy­cle.

Morales was tak­en to the Ch­agua­nas Health Fa­cil­i­ty, where he was de­clared dead at around 2.55 pm. In­ves­ti­ga­tors said he was shot in the head, chest, and right side of his body.

Po­lice said the bi­cy­cle be­lieved to have been used by the sus­pect was re­turned to the scene by a Venezue­lan man, who said it had been aban­doned at a near­by bar.

Re­gion III Homi­cide in­ves­ti­ga­tors are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.
