An Ari­ma man has been charged with the 2024 mur­der of 19-year-old Maria Paul, whose body was found in the Va­len­cia dis­trict last Oc­to­ber.

Oma­li Ren­nie, al­so known as ‘Fari’, ‘Mootie’ and ‘Mali’, was charged with mur­der and ap­peared be­fore Mas­ter Lisa Singh-Phillip at the High Court on Fri­day. The mat­ter was ad­journed to Sep­tem­ber 8th.

Paul, of Bermu­da Road, Va­len­cia, was re­port­ed miss­ing in Sep­tem­ber 2024. Her body was dis­cov­ered on Oc­to­ber 1st at An­tigua Road.

Po­lice ar­rest­ed a sus­pect in the Ari­ma dis­trict on Thurs­day. Charges were laid fol­low­ing ad­vice from Di­rec­tor of Pub­lic Pros­e­cu­tions Roger Gas­pard SC.
