Avocat and environs without water on Friday

Res­i­dents in the Av­o­cat area and en­vi­rons will have an in­ter­rup­tion in their pipe borne wa­ter sup­ply to­mor­row, Fri­day 18th Sep­tem­ber 2020, be­tween the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

An ad­vi­so­ry from the Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty ex­plains the sup­ply dis­rup­tion is nec­es­sary, in or­der to fa­cil­i­tate pipeline in­ter­con­nec­tion works at the junc­tion of Fyz­abad Main Road and Siparia Old Road, Av­o­cat.

WASA ad­vis­es that a lim­it­ed truck-borne wa­ter ser­vice will be avail­able, with pri­or­i­ty giv­en to spe­cial homes and health care in­sti­tu­tions.

Ar­eas to be af­fect­ed by the sup­ply dis­rup­tion in­clude:

●  San Fran­cique up to Door­bas­sa Trace

●  Sun­rees Road, Mur­der­er Hill and Ramjohn Trace

●  Kat­wa­roo and Ra­goo­nanan Trace

●  Pe­nal Rock Road up to Scotts Road, Aquart Vil­lage and Ramdeen Trace

●  La Coste­na, Dil Mo­hammed and Debe­di­al Road

●  Solomon Knox Road

WASA cus­tomers are re­mind­ed that it may take up to 24 hours for the sched­uled pipe borne wa­ter sup­ply to nor­mal­ize to some af­fect­ed ar­eas.

In ad­di­tion, mo­torists are be­ing asked to pro­ceed with cau­tion and ob­serve the sig­nals of the Traf­fic Con­trol Of­fi­cers on du­ty in the vicin­i­ty of the job­site.
