Police are searching for a man who robbed the newly opened jerk bar food place on Frederick Street, Port-of-Spain, making off with over 20 pounds of an assortment of cheese and cases of butter.
The robbery occurred around 1.30 yesterday morning.
Security camera footage showed the man, whose face was covered with a red cloth, emptying food items from the establishment into bags.
The man, who was wearing a white vest, slippers, and blue short pants, escaped after climbing over a barrier with two filled bags.
An employee, who spoke with Guardian Media about the robbery, said the bandit stole approximately 20 pounds of cheddar cheese and one-and-a-half cases of butter. He also made off with two bags of Mexican shredded cheese and a Bluetooth speaker.
