A Port of Spain man was ar­rest­ed on Thurs­day af­ter­noon af­ter re­turn­ing a stolen chain to its own­er.

Po­lice said the woman was walk­ing on Char­lotte Street at around 5:10 pm, when a man ap­proached, snatched her chain, and ran.

The woman chased him while call­ing the po­lice.

The man even­tu­al­ly stopped, hand­ed back the chain, and said:

“Look yuh chain.”

Of­fi­cers of the In­ter Agency Task Force (IATF), who were near­by, wit­nessed the in­ci­dent and ar­rest­ed him.

He was tak­en to the Besson Street Po­lice Sta­tion, where he is ex­pect­ed to be ques­tioned and charged.
