Po­lice are prob­ing an in­ci­dent at the house of a High Court judge on Fri­day af­ter­noon where two work­men were robbed at gun­point.

Po­lice said the work­men who were car­ry­ing out ren­o­va­tions at the home on Eliz­a­beth Gar­dens, St Joseph, re­port­ed see­ing a black car dri­ve up to the front gate.

Three armed ban­dits got out of the car and or­dered the men in­side the house.

The ban­dits stole cash and cell phones from the work­ers.

They al­so stole a quan­ti­ty of jew­ellery, lo­cal cur­ren­cy and US cur­ren­cy, be­fore get­ting back in the car and dri­ving off.

The Judge re­turned home short­ly af­ter and called the po­lice.

Of­fi­cers of the St Joseph CID vis­it­ed the scene and ex­am­ined the house.
