Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a break-in at the west Trinidad res­i­dence of Port-of-Spain South Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment Kei­th Scot­land.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said the in­ci­dent was dis­cov­ered around 3.10 am on Fri­day, when a win­dow on the sec­ond floor of the house was found bro­ken. Sev­er­al rooms were lat­er found ran­sacked, and checks re­vealed that valu­ables and an undis­closed sum of cash were miss­ing.

Scot­land and his fam­i­ly were not at home at the time, hav­ing left the res­i­dence on De­cem­ber 28, 2025. When con­tact­ed by Guardian Me­dia yes­ter­day, Scot­land said he was shak­en by the in­ci­dent but grate­ful that all mem­bers of his fam­i­ly were safe and un­harmed. - APS
