A Barataria man was granted bail in the sum of $40,000 with surety, after he appeared before a Port of Spain Magistrate this week.

According to police reports, the victims reported to police that between the period February 2019 and May 2020, they had each paid a man money in the form down-payments towards the purchase of vehicles.

The three victims made reports to the police and investigations were launched by officers of the Fraud Squad. Officers of the Barataria Police Station arrested the accused in connection with the incidents on Monday 29th June, 2020 and charges were laid on Wednesday 1st July, 2020, by WPC StouteChock Hong, of the Fraud Squad.
