A 62-year-old Bar­rack­pore man was beat­en dur­ing a home in­va­sion on Sun­day.

Re­ports stat­ed the man was in the kitchen of his home short­ly af­ter 8 pm when three masked sus­pects ac­cost­ed him. One of them then struck him sev­er­al times on his head,

caus­ing him to cry out in pain. His 47-year-old wife was in the bath­room, when she heard his cries and ran to his as­sis­tance.

The sus­pects then forced the cou­ple in­to their bed­room, and used a bed­sheet to tie their hands and feet.

The ban­dits stole a black iPhone 10 val­ued at $1200, a black Sam­sung 10s cell­phone val­ued $1300, a brown wal­let con­tain­ing $300, a quan­ti­ty of gold jew­ellery and $800.

They es­caped in the cou­ple's white $39,000 Nis­san AD wag­on which was parked in their yard at GP Road.

The cou­ple even­tu­al­ly un­tied them­selves and went to the Bar­rack­pore Po­lice Sta­tion. Of­fi­cers of the South­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force and Bar­rack­pore Po­lice con­duct­ed in­quires but none of the items were re­cov­ered and the sus­pects were not ap­pre­hend­ed.
