One man was arrested in connection with multiple offences, while a magazine and quantities of narcotics were seized in the North Eastern and Port-of-Spain Divisions yesterday.

Officers conducted an exercise between 2 pm and 8 pm, on Tuesday at the Belmont and El Socorro districts.

At Hingoo Lane, Don Miguel Road, they discovered 3.4 kilogrammes of cannabis, a quantity of cocaine, one pistol magazine and 25 rounds of ammunition.

The officers proceeded to the Beetham Gardens area, in search of a male suspect due to reports of larceny trick and robbery.

When officers announced their presence at his house, the suspect ran off. He entered a neighbour’s house and was found hiding under a bed. The suspect was arrested.

Investigations are ongoing into the above matters.
