A Belmont man remained hospitalised in a stable condition after being shot yesterday.
The 24-year-old victim, of St Francois Valley Road, Belmont, was shot at his rented apartment at Benares Street, St James.
The landlord reported hearing gunshots and, upon checking, found the victim bleeding from wounds to the head, upper body and feet.
The landlord contacted the St James Police Station and officers in turn alerted the Emergency Health Services.
The injured man was taken to the St James Medical Complex, where he was stabilised before being transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope.
The victim, who was shot 12 times, has been living in St James for the past three months.
