Belmont without water, WASA fixing problem

The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty is as­sur­ing res­i­dents in parts of Bel­mont and en­vi­rons cur­rent­ly with­out a wa­ter sup­ply that emer­gency re­pair works on the Pic­ton #2 Boost­er have been de­layed tem­porar­i­ly.

How­ev­er, WASA says those me­chan­i­cal re­pairs at the fa­cil­i­ty should be com­plet­ed by 6:00 pm to­day, Sun­day 18th Oc­to­ber 2020.

Cus­tomers are re­mind­ed though, it may take up to 24 hours for the ser­vice to nor­mal­ize to some af­fect­ed ar­eas, in ac­cor­dance with pipe borne wa­ter sup­ply sched­ules.

Af­fect­ed ar­eas in­clude:

Up­per Pic­ton Road, Up­per Priz­gar Lands, Richard­son Lane, Quar­ry Street, St. John Street, Laven­tille Road, Up­per St. Fran­cois Val­ley Road, Up­per Bel­mont Val­ley Road, Layan Hill, Chi­na Town, Du­rant Street, McK­ai Road, Belle Eau Road, Re­gent Street, Gon­za­les, and Up­per St. Barbs.
