Acting Commissioner of Police, Junior Benjamin, says the T&T Police Service (TTPS) is proud to have executed its mandate with precision and professionalism during the recently concluded General Elections. In a statement on Tuesday afternoon, Benjamin said, "I am pleased to report that the election process was conducted in a peaceful, safe, and orderly manner, allowing the people of Trinidad and Tobago to exercise their democratic rights without fear or disruption."

He commended both citizens and Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations), Curt Simon, who served as the Gold Commander for the General Elections. He said of Simon, "His calm command and operational clarity ensured that all security measures were implemented efficiently." Benjamin also praised Deputy Commissioner of Police (Intelligence and Investigations), Suzette Martin.

Benjamin said the election followed months of intense national duty for the TTPS—beginning with the imposition of the State of Emergency on December 30th, 2024, through the Carnival 2025 celebrations, and into the intense political campaign season.

He further commended all First and Second Division officers "who have stood firm, worked long hours, and shown extraordinary

dedication to service."

Benjamin said, "Your efforts have not gone unnoticed. You are the backbone of law and order in this country, and I am proud to lead such a capable and committed team."

During my consultation with Ms Brafit CEO Nicole Joseph-Chin, what was supposed to be a simple mastectomy bra fitting became something much deeper. Her thoughtful questions unlocked emotions I didn’t even realise I was holding in. She comforted, reassured, and helped me face the truth of what was coming. That bra wasn’t just clothing—it was the first real symbol of life after surgery.
