Relatives of businessman Homardath Sookdeo confirmed his identity yesterday after his body was found in some bushes off Tyrico Bay on Sunday.
Police reported that around 10 am, they received a report of a body lying motionless at Tyrico Beach with its hands and feet bound with rope and a dog chain.
A bloodied sponge and brown tape were found near the body as well.
Relatives visited the Forensic Science Centre yesterday, where Sookdeo was identified.
Guardian Media contacted Sookdeo’s relatives; however, they chose not to comment.
Police reported that Sookdeo was last seen on March 8 and reported missing at the Longdenville Police Post on that same date.
