The body of a man first seen floating off Carenage on Sunday remains unidentified.
Coastguard officers were alerted around 7:30 am that a body was spotted in the water near Five Islands Water-Park.
Acting on further information, the officers then proceeded eight nautical miles west of Felicity in Central, and continued the search.
Around 10.40 am, the officers observed a body floating face down, drifting south.
The body was taken back to Staubles Bay in Chaguaramas. A district medical officer said the victim had been in the water for approximately three days, and could have suffered possible trauma to the head.
Investigations are continuing.
