Borde Narve man critical after blow to head

A 32-year-old Bor­de Narve man suf­fered se­ri­ous head in­juries af­ter he was at­tacked with a piece of wood dur­ing an ar­gu­ment with a vil­lager.

Some­time af­ter 2 pm on Mon­day the man was walk­ing along Cipero Road, Bor­de Narve, when he stopped near the scale yard to talk to a neigh­bour.

The sus­pect, who lives in the area, ac­cost­ed him and they be­gan to ar­gue. The sus­pect then struck the vic­tim with a piece of wood, caus­ing in­juries.

The vic­tim was tak­en to San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where he un­der­went emer­gency surgery for in­ter­nal head in­juries. He is ward­ed in the In­ten­sive care unit in crit­i­cal con­di­tion.

A doc­tor told po­lice the vic­tim suf­fered a bro­ken jaw, frac­tured skull and bleed­ing in the brain, and was heav­i­ly se­dat­ed.
