A 15-year-old Belmont boy was granted bail after he was arrested and charged with the robbery of a mother and her daughter in Port of Spain on Saturday.
Police said the woman and her 14-year-old daughter were walking near Memorial Park at around 8:14 pm when they were confronted by four bandits near Holy Name Convent.
One of the men grabbed the girl around her waist and pressed a knife against her side and stole her cell phone and wristband.
The bandits tried snatching the mother's cell phone from her band but could not wrestle it away from her.
The bandits then ran away.
A report was made, and police found and arrested the suspect who was charged with robbery with aggravation.
He was granted $30,000 bail and is expected to appear in the Children's Court, on October 13.
