A 15-year-old Cunupia boy is the country’s latest road fatality after he was struck and killed by a car while riding his father’s motorcycle yesterday morning.
Police said Idris Hosein was riding his father’s Yamaha FZ1 motorbike on the westbound lane of the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway, El Socorro, around 11 am when the back left door of a Nissan Tiida collided with him as the car tried to switch lanes.
Hosein was thrown from the vehicle and rolled some distance away near Lifestyle Motors.
The teen was declared Hosein dead at the scene.
Police sources confirmed that Hosein’s father was called to the scene and identified his son’s body. —Shane Superville
