A 65-year-old British na­tion­al was shot dead at her home on Sun­day.

Po­lice re­port­ed that around 11 am, Elaine Mc Jouan, of Mo­hammedville, San Juan, was with her hus­band at De La Mare Av­enue, Trinci­ty, when the two were at­tacked.

Po­lice said the cou­ple was stand­ing in their yard when a sil­ver Nis­san Ti­i­da stopped in front of them and a gun­man came out and opened fire on Mc Jouan be­fore es­cap­ing.

Mc Jouan was tak­en to the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Cen­tre, Mt Hope, where she was pro­nounced dead on ar­rival.
