The Di­vi­sion of In­fra­struc­ture, Quar­ries and the En­vi­ron­ment (DIQE) of the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly says that the by­pass road at Thomp­son Riv­er is com­plete and open to the pub­lic.

The di­vi­sion said by­pass road was con­struct­ed to al­low for the main­te­nance of an al­ter­na­tive route while con­struc­tion work on the dual lane bridge at Thomp­son Riv­er takes place.

Dur­ing this pe­ri­od, the di­vi­sion is ad­vis­ing mo­torists to re­duce speed when ap­proach­ing the by­pass, as an ac­tive con­struc­tion site is in close prox­im­i­ty.

The di­vi­sion has thanked the pub­lic for co-op­er­at­ing as it con­tin­ues to ful­fil the man­date to de­liv­er ‘Qual­i­ty Works’ for the peo­ple of To­ba­go.
