A Cara­pichaima man who was charged with pos­ses­sion of a gun and am­mu­ni­tion last year, has been charged with mur­der and will reap­pear in court next year.

Klevon “Moo­sai” Wat­son, of Or­ange­field Road, Chase Vil­lage, was charged with the killing of Ke­ston “Fox” Gi­al­do on Sep­tem­ber 14.

Gi­al­do, a URP work­er, al­so of Or­ange­field Road, Chase Vil­lage, was stabbed to death on Sep­tem­ber 14.

Po­lice al­leged that Wat­son, 39, saw Gi­al­do walk­ing along Or­ange Field Road, grabbed him and stabbed him with a piece of bro­ken bot­tle. He then al­leged­ly dragged Gi­al­do along the road­way near a flat yel­low struc­ture, where he con­tin­ued to stab him be­fore walk­ing away.

Wat­son, who was rep­re­sent­ed by Bhi­mal Ma­hara­jh, was ar­rest­ed on Oc­to­ber 9 and ap­peared be­fore Mas­ter Rhea Lib­ert on Mon­day.

In No­vem­ber last year, Wat­son was grant­ed $150,000 bail af­ter he was charged with be­ing in pos­ses­sion of an as­sault ri­fle and hav­ing 30 rounds of 5.5 mm am­mu­ni­tion.

He was sup­posed to have had a suf­fi­cien­cy hear­ing for that mat­ter on the day he was ar­rest­ed.
