A Carapichaima man who was charged with possession of a gun and ammunition last year, has been charged with murder and will reappear in court next year.
Klevon “Moosai” Watson, of Orangefield Road, Chase Village, was charged with the killing of Keston “Fox” Gialdo on September 14.
Gialdo, a URP worker, also of Orangefield Road, Chase Village, was stabbed to death on September 14.
Police alleged that Watson, 39, saw Gialdo walking along Orange Field Road, grabbed him and stabbed him with a piece of broken bottle. He then allegedly dragged Gialdo along the roadway near a flat yellow structure, where he continued to stab him before walking away.
Watson, who was represented by Bhimal Maharajh, was arrested on October 9 and appeared before Master Rhea Libert on Monday.
In November last year, Watson was granted $150,000 bail after he was charged with being in possession of an assault rifle and having 30 rounds of 5.5 mm ammunition.
He was supposed to have had a sufficiency hearing for that matter on the day he was arrested.
