Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness said today he welcomed a CARICOM Goodwill Mission to Jamaica for a post-Hurricane Melissa tour. He shared the update on Facebook.
He said the delegation included the prime ministers of Barbados, Guyana, Grenada and Antigua, along with representatives from CARICOM, the Development Bank of Latin America, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and other regional partners.
Holness said Jamaica appreciated the solidarity shown, adding that the visit reaffirmed that the country “does not stand alone”. He said the mission aimed to support recovery efforts through partnership, unity and shared purpose as Jamaica works to rebuild communities and strengthen its resilience to future challenges.
