– Cli­mate An­a­lyt­ics launched Caribbean launched its pro­pos­al for the Re­gion­al Goal on Adap­ta­tion for the Caribbean at the Cari­com Pavil­ion on Fri­day af­ter­noon. Of­fi­cials say it will al­low Caribbean com­mu­ni­ties to see com­mon prob­lems but al­so find com­mon so­lu­tions.

– COP28 pres­i­dent Sul­tan Al Jaber says the sum­mit ‘has al­ready made his­to­ry’ at the start of the sec­ond week.

– 100 glob­al na­tive groups and al­lies have pub­lished an open let­ter call­ing for COP28 ne­go­tia­tors to pro­tect of In­dige­nous rights dur­ing the clean en­er­gy tran­si­tion.

– More than 250 or­gan­i­sa­tions from across the world have re­leased a let­ter call­ing on the Unit­ed States to aban­don its sup­port for liq­ue­fied nat­ur­al gas, which is due to grow mas­sive­ly in the next few years.
