Four persons were arrested and two firearms seized, during three separate anti-crime operations conducted in the Central Division yesterday.
According to a release from the Police Service, Central Division police carried out an Operation Festive Shield exercise between 8 pm and 10 pm, on Thursday 18 December 2025, in the Enterprise district.
The TTPS says this resulted in the arrest of two male suspects under the Emergency Powers Regulations 2025.
The men, ages 26 and 27 years, of Enterprise and Longdenville, were held by Task Force officers with the assistance of personnel of the Longdenville Police Post.
The TTPS also reports that police officers arrested a 40-year-old male suspect at Maraj Lane, during an exercise conducted between 2 am and 5:30 am on Friday (December 19, 2025).
The man was arrested after police officers found a pistol loaded with a magazine containing five rounds of ammunition on the kitchen counter of his house.
And in Cunupia, around 6:30 am on Thursday, officers of the Criminal Investigations Department conducted an intelligence-led operation that led to the arrest of a 53-year-old man for possession of a quantity of cannabis as well as a pistol loaded with a magazine.
The operations were coordinated by Snr. Supt. Bhagwandeen, Supt. Glodon, ASP Hernandez and Insp. Joseph, all of Central Division.
