A 45-year-old man drowned while bathing in Big Bay Sans Souci, To­co on Tues­day.

He has been iden­ti­fied as Ger­ard Jaikaran, a truck dri­ver from En­deav­our, Ch­agua­nas.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, around 3 pm on In­di­an Ar­rival Day, Jaikaran who was bathing by him­self lost con­trol.

Vil­lagers no­ticed and rushed to his aid. Un­for­tu­nate­ly, they were un­able to re­sus­ci­tate him.

His body was re­moved and sent to the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre.
