A man was killed on Tuesday night while he was on his way to a nearby shop.
Guardian Media understands that some time after 8 pm, Kevon “Tom” Amoroso left his home at Lawrence Wong Road, Longdenville, Chaguanas, to go to a nearby shop.
While on the way, however, he realised that he had forgotten something at home and returned for it.
While on his way again to the shop, a red car pulled up to him and an occupant came out and shot him.
As Amoroso fell to the ground, the gunman stood over him and again shot him eight more times before returning to the car, which then sped off.
Amoroso died on the roadside.
A motive is yet to be established for the killing.
In an unrelated incident, a man from Diego Martin was killed on Tuesday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Jamal Lara.
