Chaguanas police seized a firearm and ammunition and arrested two men, including a foreign national, during an anti-crime exercise last night.
The operation, conducted between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., formed part of the TTPS Strategic Plan, the Emergency Powers Regulations, and Operation "Take Back." Police arrested a 42-year-old man from Dino Street West, Charlieville, for possession of a 12-gauge shotgun and 11 rounds of 12-gauge cartridges.
They also arrested a 29-year-old foreign national from Woodbrook on five outstanding warrants. Snr Supt Carty, Supt Gyan, ASP Dipchand, and W/Insp Reid coordinated the exercise, with Sgt Nagassar and Sgt Mohammed supervising. Officers from the Chaguanas Charge Room were also involved.
