Ch­agua­nas po­lice seized a firearm and am­mu­ni­tion and ar­rest­ed two men, in­clud­ing a for­eign na­tion­al, dur­ing an an­ti-crime ex­er­cise last night.

The op­er­a­tion, con­duct­ed be­tween 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., formed part of the TTPS Strate­gic Plan, the Emer­gency Pow­ers Reg­u­la­tions, and Op­er­a­tion "Take Back." Po­lice ar­rest­ed a 42-year-old man from Di­no Street West, Char­lieville, for pos­ses­sion of a 12-gauge shot­gun and 11 rounds of 12-gauge car­tridges.

They al­so ar­rest­ed a 29-year-old for­eign na­tion­al from Wood­brook on five out­stand­ing war­rants. Snr Supt Car­ty, Supt Gyan, ASP Dipc­hand, and W/In­sp Reid co­or­di­nat­ed the ex­er­cise, with Sgt Na­gas­sar and Sgt Mo­hammed su­per­vis­ing. Of­fi­cers from the Ch­agua­nas Charge Room were al­so in­volved.
