Champs say farewell to Carnival 2024

Sev­er­al of the ma­jor win­ners of Car­ni­val 2024 com­pe­ti­tions and oth­er top artistes and bands gave their fi­nal per­for­mances for the sea­son.

The cur­tains closed on Car­ni­val fes­tiv­i­ties on Sat­ur­day night at the Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah at the an­nu­al Car­ni­val Lagniappe show.

The event gives mem­bers of the pub­lic a fi­nal look at Car­ni­val’s win­ners.

The show which was in the past called Champs in Con­cert fea­tured top per­form­ers like Ca­lyp­so Monarch Machel Mon­tano, sec­ond place win­ner Karene As­che, Road March and Young King win­ner Mi­cal Te­ja Williams, the Ju­nior Panora­ma pri­ma­ry school win­ning band St Mar­garet’s Boys AC School and the sec­ondary schools win­ner Holy Faith Con­vent Pe­nal.

Oth­ers who graced the Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah stage al­so in­clud­ed Ju­nior Ca­lyp­so Monarch Nata­ki Thomp­son, Ju­nior So­ca Monarch Zachary Ran­some and Non-school Ju­nior Band of the Year sec­ond place win­ners Ze­bapique Pro­duc­tions.
