A father of three was fatally stabbed by a female relative during a heated argument at his Claxton Bay home early this morning.
Police said 33-year-old Kerron Phillip of Diamond Village, Claxton Bay, sustained a single stab wound to the abdomen.
Initial reports indicated that Phillip had been drinking and liming with relatives last night to celebrate his brother’s birthday.
Around 1 a.m., he returned home and got into an argument with the woman, which escalated into violence. She allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed him.
An ambulance took Phillip to the San Fernando General Hospital, where he died around 3.30 a.m.
Relatives said both had been drinking and often argued during domestic disputes.
The woman remains in police custody.
